Distilled in 1969, this extremely rare single malt has been meticulously nurtured by our craftsmen for over five decades. During this lengthy union between spirit and oak, a defining character emerged, becoming increasingly richer as its fruit and smoke flavours remained constant. The taste almost undefinable; an enigma of flavours which have shaped Bowmore’s legacy, defining the most definitive of decades. Initially dry and floral with notes of carnations, developing into sweeter notes of lemon meringue, grilled almonds, and light crème caramel fudge, with a hint of white pepper, nutmeg oak spices and light coconut.
